Progressive Architecture: Norwest Center
This Studios project has interiors created to mesh with the Caesar Pelli-designed highrise in which they are housed. The reprint shows how the 4-person design team, of which I was a member, carried the design intent from initial study model through to the finished spaces. Of the teller stations, which I designed, P.A writes: "they opted for simple classical forms. The teller stations, for example, are black and white, with the black granite wall broken by glass prisms lighted from within." PDF |

Designers West: Apple
The Apple briefing center, featured in the Designer's West article, is a suite of spaces within a larger office complex. It is used for presentations to existing and prospective Apple clients. Here the team strategy, working with a trim budget, was to use modest materials in innovative ways to create elegant but not opulent spaces to echo and exemplify the client's ideology. PDF |
